Blue Cares announces new program to aid nonprofits affected by pandemic

Thousands of dollars will be handed out on Thursday to local nonprofits impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It's all part of the Blue Cares new grant program, which is a partnership with the San Antonio Police Officers Association.
“Every day, San Antonio Police Officers work hard to serve and protect our community and give back to those in need,” said Blue Cares Executive Director Amanda Gonzalez. “Within the last year and a half, our police officers have been at the forefront of witnessing resource disparities that significantly hurt families. Blue Cares & SAPOA hope to provide funding assistance to show the community that we want to give back, advance trust, and rebuild a stronger and more resilient city.”
