Grace Place Alzheimer's Activity Centers' Closures

We appreciate your support as we work through to the COVID-19 public health emergency and the continued closure of our Grace Place Alzheimer’s Activity Centers.

As you know, the health of our Grace Place family is been of at the forefront of our decision making. While our state has continues to reopen, our clientele remains at high-risk for COVID-19. Looking ahead, our next projected date of late 2022. This is in alignment with local city health officials and regional recommendations of senior congregate settings. We regret the hardship this causes your family or loved one but know our clients’ health is paramount.

During our closure time, we will continue to learn more about the disease and work to reimagine the Grace Place care model. Unfortunately, this closure means we have to furlough staff members related to client care. Grace Place Activity Director, Christina Avena, remains on staff to help monitor the situation, evolve our program and support our caregivers with support, activities, education and referrals related to respite.

Thank you for trusting the care of your loved ones with Grace Place this year.

Grace Notes Choir is a community choir for people living with dementia and their families. Music has the power to unlock memories and reach parts of the damaged brain in ways other forms of communication cannot. When you walk this journey with dementia, singing in a choir can help remove the isolation and brings joy.
