What is planned giving?

Planned giving, as defined by Donor Search, is the process of donating planned gifts, also known as legacy gifts. These are contributions that are arranged in the present and allocated at a future date. Typically, planned gifts are donated through a will or trust and are granted when the donor passes away.

What features are available through giving docs?

Through our partner, Giving Docs, we offer a full suite of estate planning tools, including the ability to create a legal will, codicil (the ability to update an existing will), beneficiary designation assistance, donor-advised fund tool, durable power of attorney, and more! Through our 45 years of service to the community, we've learned that our supporters often choose to provide a future gift, and we are glad to be able to help out by providing this service for free.
