Three ways to make an impact:

DELIVERING ANIMEALS PET FOOD

AniMeals provides supplemental pet food on the third weekend of the month to over 800 of our clients' pets. Routes and pet food are picked up Monday through Friday of the month's delivery week from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Campus of Grace, located at 2718 Danbury St, San Antonio, TX 78217, and then delivered on your own time that weekend.

Delivery week normally falls on the third Saturday of every month. Please click here to see the 2025 schedule!

Veterinary Care Assistance

Provide veterinary assistance for the pets of our homebound seniors, including the cost of vet appointments for wellness services (i.e., vaccinations, rabies shots, spay/neuter). Many of these pets have either never been seen by a veterinarian or years have gone by since their last check-up!

Meals on Wheels also covers the cost of services and provides pet carriers, collars, and leashes (if needed), and is actively working to get mobile clinic / mobile grooming options for clients, too!

Pet Care

From time to time, we have clients who are unable to care for their pets due to poor eyesight, injuries, or hospitalization. Volunteer to transport these pets for grooming appointments or take a dog for a walk around the block.

In cases of hospitalization, we contact AniMeals volunteers to open their homes to the pet for a set period of time, usually a few days to a few weeks. AniMeals ensures that these pets are up to date on shots and can provide foster volunteers with pet food and supplies as needed. Volunteers are required to sign a foster agreement when taking any AniMeals pets into their homes and a pet care agreement for other services.
