Washington Update - September 10, 2025
The House Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (Labor-HHS) committee passed its appropriations bills. Funding for the Older Americans Act (OAA) Nutrition Program Title III-C remains flat at $1.059 billion.
While the request of Meals on Wheels America was for an increase to $1.605 billion, which has fallen short, the OAA Nutrition Program will be funded as follows:
- Title III-C1 Congregate Meal Program: $565,342,000
- Title III-C2 Home-Delivered Meal Program: $381,342,000
- Title III Nutrition Services Incentive Program: $112,000,000
Additional programs, like the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG), which we have asked our community to champion, will also continue to receive flat funding.
