June 23, 2025 - In response to the challenging economic times and to better support San Antonio’s caregivers, Meals on Wheels San Antonio is introducing new lower rates for care at Grace Place Alzheimer’s Center. Our Center focuses on providing structured activities for participants while their caregivers benefit from respite, enhancing the quality of life for families.
In contrast to hiring private caregivers, our new rates lower the cost of alzheimer's care, making Grace Place Alzheimer's Center a more affordable option for many families.
In Bexar County, approximately 13% of residents aged 65 and older are living with Alzheimer's or dementia, equating to about 33,000 individuals. This places Bexar County among the top 10 counties in Texas for Alzheimer's prevalence. Our new rates, with full-time care starting at $1,000 and part-time care starting at $600 per month, will alleviate rising pressures to ensure their loved ones receive quality care.
