Gonzales says every meal provided by the organization helps them get through each day. She’s even told a few of her friends about it.

Meals on Wheels San Antonio not only provided food for their family but also a ramp to their home.

Roger Ruiz with South Texas Blood & Tissue says by donating, you’re doubling your impact. It works like this: blood donors can give their reward store points, earned through successful blood donations at a donor center, to Meals on Wheels.

“You give and they live and that’s so true," Ruiz said. "Because not only are you giving to not only support blood donors but now you’re supporting seniors this month. We hope to collect over 1500 meals for the month of March. Not only for patients but for the elderly that are depending on Meals on Wheels.”
